Seven trainees complete Concrete Forming Certificate program
May 26, 2016
Seven trainees concluded Career Centre Regina’s six-week Concrete Forming Certificate program on May 6. The program, which is a combination of classroom and practical shop experience, prepares trainees to be well-versed in site safety and the fundamentals of how to install and dismantle safely concrete form work to protect the concrete and to prolong the life of the forms.
The trainees celebrated the end of their training with a meal at Nicky’s Café, with Elder Connie Wajunta attending to bless the meal and pray for the students’ continued success on their journeys. Two students won awards, Jared Rockthunder for best attendance and Les Agecoutay for leadership.
The program puts a strong emphasis on hands-on learning and CCR would like to thank Westridge Construction, B L and Sons Construction, Safrane Construction, and Gabriel Construction for providing the trainees with their one week of work experience. The majority of trainees were offered employment at the end of the program!
