“Wesaketewenowuk: A Conference on Métis Environmental Leadership”
June 8 & 9 at Prairieland Park in Saskatoon

As Métis people, we have generations of traditional knowledge, insights, and experiences grounded in our culture and respect for the land. We see the effects of extreme weather events and environmental issues that are impacting our communities, and we are passionate about uplifting our rights and knowledge systems to call for urgent and transformative change.

Anyone who is passionate about climate leadership and wants to advance and shape a more sustainable future is encouraged to attend. Join to share perspectives, learn, and pave the way forward as we explore the profound connection between Métis people and the land—and the importance of Métis-led solutions.

  • Emergency Management and Building Resiliency
  • Environmental Monitoring and Stewardship
  • Traditional Health and Well-being

You’ll also get a chance to learn more about MN–S Ministry of Lands and Environment projects and programs!

With workshops, panels, and breakout discussions, this is your opportunity to work together to co-develop solutions to address climate change and support community-led adaptation goals.
