The Watrous and Manitou Beach Heritage Centre welcomes Indigenous presenters and exhibits – Discover Humboldt
Oct 04 2024
The Watrous – Manitou Beach Heritage Centre is an incredibly designed interpretive centre housing artifacts and representations covering the history and development of one of the province’s most unique areas.
The Centre is launching programming that brings displays and cultural performances from across the province and across Canada. It’s first event will feature a pair of Indigenous presenters, each with their own takes on their cultural history and their contributions toward understanding in Truth and Reconciliation.
The presentations coincide with a pair of exhibits on now.
From October 5 – 25, the Heritage Centre welcomes visitors to view the Cree Language Exhibit. A series of panels introduce the Cree language with illustrations, maps and photos, along with interactive audio to hear the language and visuals representing the syllabic writing system.
