PAGC Remembers Senator Simon Robillard

(Treaty 5, 6, 8 & 10 Territories)– The Prince Albert Grand Council’s Executive, Senators, Women’s Commission, management and staff would like to extend their condolences to the family and friends of the late Senator Simon Robillard, who passed away at the age of 92-years-old on Wednesday, September 15th, 2021.

“Senator Simon Robillard was a highly-respected leader, known for his ties to the land and his knowledge of the Dene history, culture and traditions of our Athabasca sector. He will be dearly missed for his years of service and dedication to PAGC,” said Grand Chief Brian Hardlotte. “We send our prayers to his family, friends, and community of Black Lake Denesuline Nation during this difficult time.”

A viewing will be held at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel at 3:00 pm, and a service will be held on Saturday, September 18th from 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the Senator Allen Memorial Gym . The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 22nd at the Our Lady of the Cape Catholic Church on Black Lake Denesuline Nation.
