Notice of Annual General Meeting of the
Coalition of Aboriginal Peoples of Saskatchewan

(PRINCE ALBERT, SK – August 14, 2020) The Coalition of Aboriginal Peoples of Saskatchewan (CAPS) will be hosting its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on August 23, 2020. The meeting will take place at the Indian Métis Friendship Centre, located at 1409 1 Avenue East in Prince Albert.

During the Annual General Meeting, there will be an election for the positions of President and Vice-President. Individuals who are interested in running for these offices must access and submit a Declaration of Intent to Run form.

CAPS is taking a risk-based approach to our AGM during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are advising participants of the following protocols:

  1. Stay at home if you are feeling unwell.
  2. Wear a mask.
  3. Maintain at least 1 metre distance from others.
  4. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use hand sanitizer.

To minimize crowding, we will be staggering arrivals and departures. Chairs will be marked to ensure there is proper physical distancing. CAPS will be providing hand sanitizer, tissues, closed-lid bins and masks.

The purpose of CAPS is to enhance, promote and foster the social, economic, educational, cultural, health and well-being and rights of status and non-status Indians living off-reserve and Métis living in Saskatchewan. Our mission is to build a strong and effective representative organization based on the governance principles of legitimacy and voice; strategic vision; responsiveness; fairness; accountability; and transparency.
