Since 1996, National Indigenous Peoples Day has been commemorated on June 21 each year in Canada.
For the first time since the pandemic began, National Indigenous Peoples Day celebrations in Regina will return to in-person events.
“This day provides an opportunity for our entire community to learn more about the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples in Canada,” notes a City of Regina news release.
