Indigenous Action plan drives intake changes at Southeast College – Discover Weyburn
Feb 20 2025
Just last month, Southeast College released their new Indigenous Action Plan which is coming in to play now with the introduction of Indigenous equity seats in full-time post-secondary programs.
Beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year intake, certain seats will be designated to students of Canadian Indigenous ancestry in many of the college’s full-time programs. Vice President of Communications and Strategic Enrollment with Southeast College, Sheena Onrait, says it’s a great step forward.
“We’ve been thinking about this for a while now. It’s really important for us to be able to provide designated Indigenous seats in all of our full-time programs.”
