The University of Saskatchewan welcomes you to celebrate Indigenous Achievement Week (IAW) from February 5 to 9, 2018.

The week is dedicated to celebrating the success and contributions of Métis, First Nations and Inuit students, staff and faculty. Events focus on achievements in academics, research, education, community engagement and leadership.

IAW will begin with a pipe ceremony and feast Monday, February 5 and will finish with the ITEP Round Dance on Friday, February 9 in the Education Gymnasium. Throughout the week there will be artistic performances, speakers’ panels and lectures in various locations across campus. Check back here for a full schedule of events in January.

One of the highlights of the week is always the Indigenous Achievement Student Awards Ceremony. This year 46 indigenous students will be honoured for their academic, leadership and community outreach accomplishments. The awards ceremony will take place Thursday, February 8 in the Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre.

Everyone is welcome to attend all events.

A full listing of events will be posted here soon.
