Aboriginal storyteller entertains Weyburn students – Weyburn Review

Aboriginal storyteller Chad Solomon, a member of the Henvey Inlet First Nation, brought his tale of “The Adventures of Rabbit and Bear Paws” to the Weyburn Public Library on Wednesday afternoon, where Souris students were entertained with his storytelling. He enlisted a number of students to help him, as they used puppets for several animal friends, including a beaver, moose, eagle, muskrat and turtle, among others. The program is hosted by the Weyburn Public Library, Southeast Regional Library and Library Services for Saskatchewan Aboriginal Peoples. The funders include: Southeast Regional Library, Community Initiatives Fund, Sask Culture, Saskatchewan Arts Board, Government of Saskatchewan, SaskPower, Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority, and SaskTel.
