The College of Dentistry is seeking a dean who is ready to join our leadership team and write a new chapter in dental education and research. The U of S wants to embrace change and transition from past ways of doing things in order to better serve our students and the wider community.
Established in 1965, the College of Dentistry is the only provider of a fully accredited dental program in the Province of Saskatchewan and possesses a strong tradition of excellence with bonds and allegiance to the university, the city and the province. The college strives to serve as a leader in innovative scholarly pursuits, research, inter-professional collaboration and community outreach.
Reporting to the provost and vice-president academic, the dean is an important member of the university’s senior leadership team. As such, they are responsible for providing vision and leadership to help the U of S fulfill its strategic directions and priorities. The successful candidate will use their experience in senior academic leadership to realize positive change in the College of Dentistry and at the U of S. They will have a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion and Aboriginal engagement.
Candidates must possess a strong record of research, scholarly and clinical achievement, as well as demonstrate superb interpersonal skills and sound judgment to provide leadership for the continuing development of the faculty and the university. A DDS or equivalent degree is required. A PhD is preferred.
