REGINA. x–17s. Protesters camping out in teepees outside the Saskatchewan legislature say they’re not going anywhere until the province
responds to their concerns about the high number of Indigenous children in provincial care. Representatives from Justice for Our Stolen
Children met yesterday in Fort Qu’Appelle with five cabinet ministers and presented them with a long list of demands for change. Camp
spokeswoman Robyn Pitawanakwat (pih-tih-WAHN’-uh-kwaht) says they realized at the meeting that the ministers are not aware of how their
portfolio functions, including Social Services.

TAG: There will be a second meeting in two weeks. Camp organizers say government officials did not provide a response when asked to leave the demonstrators alone.
