Lac La Ronge Indian Band undecided retail marijuana operation – MBC Network Radio Online

With just over a week away until recreational use of cannabis becomes legal in Canada, at least one Saskatchewan First Nation is still undecided if it will open a retail operation.

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band, Onion Lake Cree Nation and Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation were selected by the province as cannabis retailers earlier this year.

Lac La Ronge Indian Band Chief Tammy Cook-Searson confirms that her First Nation still has not decided on whether to accept the license granted by the SLGA.

The three First Nations were selected for retail licensing as their communities had a population of at least 2500.
