Students planning to attend Cumberland College during the 2019-20 academic year are invited to apply for a $2000 entrance scholarship.

“Up to twenty-five $2000 entrance scholarships will be awarded to high school students and Adult 12 graduates planning to enroll in full-time university or technical programs at the College this fall,” says Trudi Webster, Recruitment and Development Coordinator at Cumberland College.  “We are fortunate to have the support of donors who value local educational opportunities that allow students to remain in their home community.”

Selections for the entrance scholarships will be calculated using the student’s high school marks in five subjects and will based on a minimum 75% average. Grade 12 marks will be used unless the program entrance requirements require less (i.e. grade 10 or 11).  The application deadline is April 30, 2019.

Five Alex Prytula Entrance Awards are available for students of Indigenous ancestry who are entering university at Cumberland College.  The deadline for these scholarships is earlier with a March 1, 2019 deadline.

“The College has made the application process easy for students with a simple online form,” says Webster.  Students interested in learning more about the scholarship opportunities are encouraged to stop by one of the College offices in Nipawin, Melfort, or Tisdale.  The online application form is available at www.cumberlandcollege.sk.ca
