Changes to Senior Public Service
March 16, 2017
Deputy Minister to the Premier Alanna Koch today announced changes to senior leadership of the Saskatchewan Public Service.
Effective immediately, Susan Ross, Acting President of the Water Security Agency (WSA), has been permanently appointed to the position. Susan, who has been with the WSA since 2003, served previously as the agency’s Senior Vice President and General Counsel.
Effective April 1, Blair Wagar, Assistant Deputy Minister of Highways and Infrastructure, will be appointed Acting Deputy Minister on an interim basis. Wagar replaces Nithi Govindasamy who is retiring after 40 years of distinguished public service, nine of which were with the Government of Saskatchewan as Deputy Minister of Highways and Infrastructure (since 2013) and Associate Deputy Minister of Agriculture.
Effective April 4, David Boehm, Assistant Deputy Minister of Advanced Education, will be appointed Acting Deputy Minister on an interim basis. Boehm replaces Louise Greenberg who is retiring after a distinguished career spanning 32 years in the Saskatchewan Public Service, including senior roles in Agriculture, Health and Social Services before being appointed Deputy Minister of Advanced Education in 2012.
“I want to sincerely thank Louise and Nithi for their many years of outstanding public service and congratulate them on their retirement,” Koch said. “I also want to congratulate Susan on her permanent appointment as President and I know she will continue to provide strong leadership at WSA. These changes will ensure the Saskatchewan Public Service is well-positioned to continue advancing the Government’s objectives and priorities.”
