The Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) will be hosting the 18^th Annual Toronto Gala on February 2, 2016 at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Toronto, Ontario.

CCAB will be honouring and celebrating the 2016 Aboriginal Business Hall of Fame (ABHF) Lifetime Achievement Award inductee, Chief Darcy Bear and Jacob Pratt, the third recipient of the National Youth Aboriginal Entrepreneur Award. Both awards are founded and exclusively sponsored by ESS Support Services, a member of Compass Group Canada.

Who:	Darcy Bear — Chief of Whitecap Dakota First Nation and the recipient of the 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award. Waneek Horn-Miller — CCAB Toronto Gala MC — Aboriginal advocate and Olympic athlete from the Kahnawake Mohawk territory Reggie Leach — CCAB Toronto Gala Keynote Speaker — NHL Alumni formally of the Boston Bruins, Philadelphia Flyers (Stanley Cup winner in 1975) and Detroit Red Wings. Jacob Pratt — Creative Director of Wambdi Dance and the recipient of the National Youth Aboriginal Entrepreneur of the year Award.

Why:	Since 2005, the Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes a First Nations (Status or Non-Status), Inuit, or Métis business person whose community leadership and business success has made a substantive contribution to the economic and social well-being of Aboriginal peoples across Canada. Starting in 2014, the National Youth Aboriginal Entrepreneur of the Year Award is given each year to a First Nations (Status or Non-Status), Inuit, or Métis business person between the ages of 19 and 35 at CCAB’s Annual Toronto Gala, and celebrates an Aboriginal entrepreneur who is leading the next generation of Aboriginal business owners and innovators.
